About John Pendray

Graduate from the renown St Martins’ School of Art in London, John is a maritime painter whose paintings are inspired by his love of the sea, his travels all over the world and his life-long passion for sailing.

John was awarded the title of Peintre Officiel de la Marine Nationale Française in 2001 and made a life member in 2007.

In recognition of his services to the Navy, in 2024 John was awarded the title of Chevalier de L’Ordre National du Mérite Maritime.
